Housing Legal Clinc
The HLC was established in Adelaide in 2006 by the Welfare Rights Centre SA, with funding from the South Australian government, to serve people marginalised by homelessness or at risk of homelessness. It’s now run in five different locations around the city, with each site hosted by a different community services organisation and staffed by a different legal services firm. DW practitioners, including Managing Partner John Walsh, volunteer at the Uniting Care Wesley Byron Place Community Centre and do so every Wednesday morning.
In just three years the clinic has been able to provide the equivalent of around $1.5M worth of pro bono service to around 1,200 clients.
This is a significant achievement and one Donaldson Walsh Lawyers is extremely proud to be a part of.
